On July 12, 2017, the Lebanese Physical Handicapped Union launched the practical steps towards inclusive tourism within the framework of the "Tourism for All" project funded by the European Union and the management of the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform in the Hayakel Baalbeck restaurant; in the presence of the Mayor of Baalbek Hussein Al-Lakkis represented by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Municipal Council Mohammad Awada, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baalbeck Governmental Hospital Dr. Hassan Yahfofi, President of Baalbeck Center for Care and Development Marcel Sukkarieh, Representative of Jihad Al-Bina’ Development Association Eng. Hassan Samaha, President of the Syndicate of Fine Artists and Artisans in the Bekaa Amer al Haj Hassan, representative of the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training Ghada Raad and social activists

October 11, 2017, Tyre cultural village hosted Nada Ozeir and Mohammed Khaled from the “Tourism for All Project” in Lebanon and the Lebanese Physical Handicapped Union, in the presence of the representative of SHEILD organization in Tyre, Wafa Wehbi; Safa Watfa and Ali Rifai represented Tyre Cultural village. The aim of the meeting was to introduce the project and agree on a mechanism of cooperation and coordination to provide training and work opportunities for people with disabilities. During the meeting, Tyre Cultural Village administration expressed its willingness to provide training opportunities for people with disabilities in the fields of pottery, glass engraving and jewelry design.
